Crowns

A crown covers the entire outer surface of a problem tooth, restoring it to its original size and improving its strength and appearance. Crowns are used when a tooth or teeth cannot be easily restored with a filling due to decay or cracks. Crowns are also placed on dental implants replacing missing teeth. Crowns can be made from metal alloys, porcelain or ceramic, composite resin, or a combination of these materials. A crown is usually fitted in two visits: the first to make a mold for the crown and install a temporary, the second to bond the permanent crown into place. We have been recently working with all zirconia crowns, commonly called “zeno crowns.” These crowns are made from zirconia and are milled by a high tech computer. This insures the most precise fit measured to the micron millimeter (opposed to traditional millimeter from hand milled crowns). It is also aesthetically pleasing being all white with no metal. Zeno is also the strongest material out on the market today. So you can be assured that your crown will last that much longer.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that a periodontist places into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. Dental implants are an ideal option for people in good general oral health who have lost a tooth or teeth due to periodontal disease, an injury, or some other reason.

Soft-Tissue Laser

This technology will be used to help our patients receive the best possible dental care. Do you get painful cold or canker sores? The laser can desensitize them completely painlessly ( no anesthesia required) to feel 95-100% better in 2 minutes or less! The laser can also be used to disinfect gums in areas of deep pockets following a standard deep cleaning (scaling and root planning), allowing faster healing and producing a better overall outcome.

Veneers

Porcelain veneers help you have a beautiful smile. Unlike a crown which covers an entire tooth, a veneer is a thin ceramic shell bonded tightly to the front of a tooth. Veneers are custom-fit for each tooth and are an ideal choice for covering up teeth that are stained, crooked, chipped or badly shaped as a result of an injury. If properly cared for, veneers can be a part of your bright, confident smile for years to come.

Bridges

In the instance of a missing tooth, a bridge restores the appearance of a natural-looking, full smile by placing a false tooth into that space. This false tooth is anchored with crowns fixed to the healthy teeth on either side of it. Bridges are custom made to fit the natural contours of your mouth. Like crowns, they can be constructed from metal alloys, porcelain, or a combination of these materials. With proper care, a bridge can increase your overall health and confidence for many years.

Root Canals

A root canal can save an injured or diseased tooth, preserving the structural integrity of your bite. During this treatment an opening is made through the crown of the tooth and the diseased inner part of the tooth is extracted. This inner chamber is then shaped, filled, and sealed, the entire tooth is then covered with a crown to restore it to its original shape and size.
